Hello, Teaching Artists! Where did the summer go? It’s back to school for many of us, so we want to remind you of the resources TAG provides in and outside the classroom. Still looking for work? Make sure to head to our jobs board for openings across the country. For negotiating pay, make sure to check out the PayRate Calculator. If you’re looking for professional development to inspire you this fall, check out our training programs page with opportunities from a variety of organizations nationally. And finally, our Knowledge Committee is hard at work overhauling our resource databases, so stay tuned for new and innovative resources you can bring into your classroom.

Register for the ITAC6 Digital Conference
There’s still time to register for the ITAC6 digital conference! In addition to the in-person program, ITAC6 will offer a comprehensive online program before and during ITAC6 Oslo. Information about the digital program and link to the live feed can be found below.

Calling all teaching artists in California! TAG was just awarded a Statewide and Regional Networks program grant from the California Arts Council. With this grant, TAG of CA will work to support teaching artists across the state through professional development, leadership opportunities, and community building. If you are a teaching artist living in California, please connect with us and become a part of this initiative!

A great way to attend a conference for free is to volunteer or lead a workshop! The NYC Arts In Education Roundtable have opened submissions for their Face To Face Conference. All panelists get to attend the conference for free and are paid for their session.
Our incoming Co-Executive Director Kerry Warren is a member of AIER and joined the in-person event Advancing Arts Education in NYC: In Conversation with Chancellor David C. Banks. The event was also recorded so enjoy the playback conversation moderated by David King on the progress made towards equity in access to sequential arts education alongside the lessons learned and future of arts in our schools.
We wish you all a very happy start to this new school year and hope it is your best one yet. As always, we could not do this work without your support. Thank you and have a great rest of the summer.
With Gratitude,
Heleya de Barros, Katie Rainey & Kerry Warren
