Trauma-informed practices teach us that our experiences live in our bodies. Join Enoch the Poet (and Bartol Trauma-Informed Practice Training graduate) for this workshop that focuses on conceptualizing the body as different types of environments in order to identify and deepen our understanding of what our bodies are trying to communicate to us daily, for our students and ourselves. Through writing exercises, “Body as a Home” will take you on a journey to explore the things (emotions, experiences, memories, etc.) that take up real estate in our bodies. It poses the question of what has been living inside us? And what needs to be evicted or welcomed in? Artists in all disciplines are welcome.
