Announcing: Listening Tours for Teaching Artists

We Want to Hear From You!

A key route to wellness is by sharing our stories. It is through storytelling that we reveal who we are, where we belong and what we are searching for. Storytelling is an age old tradition and has more recently been recognized by Western doctors as an important diagnostic tool. Now about 75 percent of American medical schools offer narrative medicine courses to help doctor’s understand the stories behind their patients’ symptoms.

As teaching artists, in any artform, we know that the personal story is what makes the arts come alive. As a pathway to well being, TAG is partnering with the National Guild and other arts education organizations to host a series of Listening Tours for Teaching Artists. We want to hear your story. How are you coping during this time? How are you thriving? What kind of support do you need?

Do you want to host an event? Check out these Listening Tour resources so that you can participate.
