Teaching Artists and the Future of Education

This report on the three year Teaching Artist Research Project gives an overview of those working the field, drawing on 3500 surveys from artists and organizations in a dozen communities from Boston to San Diego.   Addressing the decline in arts education received by children (and especially children of color), the report concludes that teaching artists are critical both to reversing this decline and improving the quality of education in our schools.  By Nick Rabkin, Michael Reynolds, Eric Hedberg and Justin Shelby.
