Exploring Bias and Community Accountability Through the Arts Part I

April 19 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

REGISTER HERE

A two-part series.
Participants should plan to attend both sessions

Instructor: Reyna Brown

Part I: Wed. April 5, 4-6pm In-Person at the LBC Education Studio!

Join us for an in-person immersive two-hour workshop to explore the emotional impact of unconscious bias using art, music, and poetry. This workshop is crafted to foster a sense of community while dramatizing certain experiences that can make people uncomfortable as a tool for personal growth. In this session participants can expect to share personal testimonies, engage in theater activities, and take-home tools for further reflection on our personal relationship to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Part II: Wed. April 19th, 4-5:30pm Online

Offered as a supplement to our first workshop, this 90-minute Zoom session will focus on sharing structures for communal accountability moving forward. Participants can expect to walk away with equitable communication techniques, an understanding of restorative practices, and a heightened awareness of one’s personal responsibility to cultivating equitable spaces.

$20 each person for both sessions
