Art can be a great way to connect with our feelings, to take care of ourselves, and to process everything we are learning. Treat yourself to an afternoon art break self-care session while learning some arts integration practices that you can use with your students.
No skill is needed to create something beautiful that tells a story.
$$ Opportunity to get paid: Participating educators who use these techniques with your students will be invited, and paid, to report back at a future workshop.
All middle school teachers, administrators, after school staff, and teaching artists are welcome.
We’ll have snacks and music and approval for Prop G hours. The workshop begins at 4:30 pm, but you can arrive anytime after 4:00pm to socialize and eat cheese.
This workshop will be lead by Juan Manzo, Director of Education & Community Programs for the American Conservatory Theater, Todd Berman, Director of the Where Art Lives program, and Angela Brown, arts coordinator for Aptos Middles School and a classroom teacher.
