Transitioning to In-Person Learning: Considering Shifts in Relational and Learning Needs

As schools transition back to in-person learning, students, teachers, and teaching artists will be transitioning mentally, physically, and emotionally as well. Join Mae Early who will share some behavioral health models to identify what relational and learning needs may experience the biggest shifts as we move from virtual to in-person learning.  Mae is the Director of Education for Philadelphia Young Playwrights and the lead creator of Bartol’s Trauma-Informed Practice for Teaching Artists Training. The workshop will explore how our art form can challenge – or ease – students as they adapt to these changes. Using that as our foundation, we’ll explore ways we can offer practice, pace, space, and grace to our students and ourselves as we make this transition together.
