As Senior Curriculum & Program Manager, I work collaboratively with artistic, program and operational teams on issues of cross-departmental relevance, providing support to programs in the areas of growth & innovation, strategy, evaluation, monitoring, organizational effectiveness, and design of original curricular and learning content. As part of my role, I foster a culture of learning at the San Francisco Opera, ensuring that staff members leverage the opportunity to learn from each other, and from external experts who can broaden and deepen the staff’s perspectives improving organizational effectiveness. I am responsible for leading the design and delivery of development experiences, including stakeholder management, communication plans, internal coaching, measuring impact, and on-going learning.
Additionally, I proactively assess and prioritize learning needs across programs and develop relevant approaches for learning that strengthen the organization’s collaborative potential and community engagement. As part of my work, I research and design structured learning opportunities, and advise on methods that track current operational strategies leading to systematic and sustainable processes. Like the Learning Officer position, I am often called upon to define and refine organizational goals, synthesize and interpret projects and processes for diverse audiences, and identify dependency relationships as I work within resource constraints to establish milestones, and bring projects to successful completion.
