The Southeast Center for Arts Integration provides professional development for teachers and teaching artists. As co-founder and president, I work with my small board, comprised of teaching artists, to plan, design, administer, and present experiential professional development workshops, ranging in length from 90 minutes to 4 days. These experiential workshops start with state standards and end with lesson or unit planning. They demonstrate what arts integration is, how it supports learning, engages students, and strengthens memory, and how authentic connections across subject areas deepen comprehension.
