As a WritersCorps Teaching Artist in Residence, I teach comic writing, illustrating and design workshops to third, fourth and fifth grade students at Redding Elementary, a public school in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood that primarily serves low-income English language learners from the surrounding community.
