I am a Native Hawaiian student in the Graduate Study of Art, my current position with the Kekaulike internship programs is in coordination with the Hawaiian Arts Alliance to build a online database of artists living and working in Hawaii. The Hawai‘i Arts Alliance is a statewide private non-profit that champions all arts and artists. The Alliance is the State Captain for the national arts advocacy organization, Americans for the Arts. I am doing administrative tasks with the curatorial team in collecting artists for a database that will answer questions and generate a network for artists and arts programing in Hawaii.
